He insists that they came over to make the country a white territory. Speaking at the state funeral of former Vice President Joseph Msika’s widow on Thursday afternoon, Bob claimed he was willing ‘to fight the people who came to the country’ and claimed it for themselves. article class=”socialLocker”>

He used his platform at Harare’s National Heroes Acre to issue a stern lecture about who Zimbabwe really belongs to, according to state owned newspaper The Herald. ADVERTISING “If you come to my place and claim it’s yours, I will fight you. In the same vein, this is what the likes of Joseph Msika resisted. Whites came to Zimbabwe and wanted to make it theirs. They are oblivious of the fact that what is not yours will never be yours. No matter how much you fight for it.” His words are effectively pandering to the youth wing of Zanu PF. They have been wanting to see Mugabe force through more ‘land reforms’ to turf white farmers out of their property and be replaced by black occupants. In his 37-year reign of the country, the land reform debacle of the early 2000s was one of the biggest farces in African politics. Let alone his own reign, or the history of Zimbabwe. An approximate 4,000 farm owners populated Zim, but that had dwindled to just a few hundred these days. Mugabe put partisan politics ahead of common sense and rational thinking, with the loss of farmers compounding the country’s awful economic state. What do you make of Bob’s comments?
